FZ30 in the lake

I dropped my FZ30 into about 4 inches of muddy pond water. It has dried out and will power up, but there's obvious dried crud on the inside of the lens. I took a photo of a clean piece of paper and the spots do show up. Anyone had this problem before? Any suggested solutions? I dread sending it in for repair and being "soaked" again.

I was advised by Panasonic that even if I was skilled enough, without the proper tools there is no way I could reassemble the lens assembly of a FZ camera........perhaps a local shop could take a look at it for you.
