Hello All,
I am currently looking at purchasing a DMC-FZ15 but have not located any wide angle or telephoto lenses for it. I am also intersested in an external battery pack and filters. Are these items available?
I have also been looking at the Cannon S1 IS and the Fuji S5100. Any thoughts on how they stack up to the FZ15?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Regarding wide/tele lens converters: Panasonic sells both, but they're over-expensive. 3rd party converters are readily available with a suitable adapter tube. Read the other posts in this forum where all this is discussed in great detail. Use the search function if you don't want to read through everything. Start with the sticky's. Ditto for filters and batteries.
The Fuji is a very nice cam, but it is not any way close in features to the Lumix. The telling difference is the Lumix lens. No other camera that I know of on the market has a 12X, gyro-stabilized built-in lens that operates at f2.8 aperture throughout the entire zoom range - NONE. I looked at the Fuji. My daughter has one and I've used hers. It takes great pix, but it cannot hold a candle to the Lumix. I know nothing about the S-1, so I will refer you to the Cannon forum for that one.
BTW - I'm a FZ20 owner - basically same cam as the 15 - with a few more bells and whistles.

i just got my fz15, and am extremely happy with the performance. i used an s5100 for about a month, and i liked the cam allot, but feature wise it doesnt compair to the fz15. absouloutly awesome camera, i was overwelmed by how nice it is.
as far as lenses go, yeah panosonic makes them, but there extremely pricey. the 3rd party counterparts though are very nice, and much cheaper.
