View Full Version : Canon A570 or Fuji s700 ?
My wife is a doctor. She needs a camera that will take good pictures of patients or x rays etc. It needs a good macro function and also should be a good overall camera for all occasion. My budget is around 175$. So far i have finalised Canon A570is and Fujifilm S700. Both cost the same. Fuji has better macro and supermacro with 10x zoom but no image stabilisation. Canon on the other hand is pocketable, has IS but i have doubt about its macro function as it is mentioned as 5cm macro. Please somebody can help me make the decision ? How would be Fuji Z10fd in this regard cause i havent seen many reviews as yet.

I'd avoid the Fuji Z10fd - the picture quality is not good.

As much as I love the S700, do you really need anywhere near 10x zoom to take pictures of teeth? It's pretty hard to compare a compact camera to a superzoom, but if you must, then my advise is always to increase the budget and get something that has the best features of both....which I believe the Canon G9 would do.
thanx everybody ! S700 seems to b the value for money !!
