My wife bought the k10d for a long anticipated trip to europe, leaving in two days, and just today started to try and figure it out. Now she expects me to bail her out. She claims that she could view through the lcd monitor and now suddenly she can't. I've looked at the Pentax supplied manual and the "everything you need to know..." book and can't find an answer. Is there an exposure mode that allows through the lcd monitor viewing while taking pictures? I tried them all w/o success or has she pressed a button somewhere that turned that feature off ? Actually, this looks like a real nice camera. My wife says HELP! Thanks

The camera has never had that function. The only way she could have seen what she was taking is through the view finder.

Your wife my have used the "Preview" function on the power switch to see a test image, but this will not save the pic.

thanks to you both. My wife is, of course, a female so that explains half of it. Showing her your posts sealed the deal. She won't admit that she was wrong, but she reluctantly agreed that i just might be right. Thanks again
