Sony DSC-N1 Mode Switch Problem

Hello Everyone,

I've had my Sony DSC-N1 for several years, and it's still working wonderfully.

However, the mode switch, the side dial that allows you to shoot movies or review photos on the memory stick, has recently become stuck and won't toggle up or down to the three position options.

Thankfully, it's set to capture photos, but I hesitate to force the mode switch into the other positions in fear of it breaking all together.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, or do you have a solution?

Just a quick note to say I'm ending request for help. I contacted Sony through their online chat function. They could not provide a solution.

However, I see on the original receipt that my husband purchased a four-year service contract when the camera was purchased two years ago. What a man. Back to the electronics store it goes.
