Hey guys. I found myself after work spending well about 3 hours now searching for the lightest smallest tripod under $150.00 . Then I thought hey I know the people here at the site will have the perfect answer. I like the Bogen-Manfrotto, The Silk.
I trust everyone here at the site. I have had excellent advice along with reading hours of great information. I have learned so much from this website.
Please chime in on anyone who can suggest the lightest quickest set up smallest design for a Conon 40D plus a few heavy lenses.
Thanks in advance

I'm ordering stuff from Amvona. Someone else said they had good experiences with them, and you can't really go wrong for the price. You may not get the lightest or smallest, but you should be able to spend well under $150, and for $150, you should be able to get the best these guys have to offer.

A small and light tripod that will hold a 40D with heavy lenses and all you have is $150? I'm sorry, but I don't think it can be done. Bogen tripods would be a great choice, but their small light carbon fiber tripods cost way more than $150. I have no idea what Silk is offering, but I have had real bad experiences with them in the past so I have never used them. Give B&H a call and see what they suggest. The call is free, the advice is world class.

Thanks very much guys. I'm not trying to be the cheapest tripod buyer but.....the amount of use I believe I will get warrants the cheapo budget. I usually go all out but I have a larger 6 lb video tripod. I wanted to try some longer shutter times just for kicks and wanted to get pictures of the wife and I walking around town with a lightweight tripod....Thanks again for the help. I think I am purchasing the Slik sprint tripod from e bay. I will strap that two pound little baby to my camera bag and I will let you all know how it performs...Peace
