I made the mistake of loading Kodak Easyshare to my computer. Worst program ever. Now I have some photos in Easyshare that I would like to keep (before I delete EasyShare forever) and put into MS xp My Pictures.
Does anyone know how to get photos out of EasyShare and into MS XP My Pictures?
Help is needed and will be appreciated.
I have not used Easy Share, but if you can see the files with "My Computer", you can copy and past.

And if that doesn't work, you should have a "save as" option under the file menu in the easy share software (unless it's as poorly designed as their cameras are) and you'll be able to save them to a folder in windows.

As a new forum member and a first-time digital camera owner (I have a Kodak C530) I was about to post a request as to whether I should use Kodak EasyShare or something else. Your post tells me to get something else, but which? I'd be glad to get a recommendation of a free photo management system.
Also, can anyone recommend a book on digital cameras for beginners? I'm open to anything but an "Idiot" volume. Thanks.

You don't need a program to manage your photos. Do something like the following:
Create a folder. Give it a name such as "Camera C530". Make sub folders for how you would like the photos to be sorted. You might want to save by date, or by subject: Flowers, Birds, Nancey's 2nd Birthday, etc.

or, if you do want a quality photo organizer use picasa from google. Free, minor photo fixes, and you can caption and even save your photos online
