View Full Version : Photo Challenge - "Where I live"
The ABC thing we did a while a go seemed to work okay and nobody has come up with a better idea so here is mine.
Submit a photo on the subject "Where I live".
The photo must be taken in the geographic area you live in. If you live in a metro area your suburb is the boundary, if you live in a rural area then lets say within a mile or so of your house.
The photo should reflect the environment you live in either natural or man made. No photos of the kids or the pets please unless they are incidental.
Be creative or be boring and submit as many shots as you like until we all get sick of the thread.
An explanation of the photo is optional but encouraged.
Looking north from our street about 200 meters from our house.

great idea kiwi. :)
i live in sydney australia. where i live is very green for a metro area and loaded with native trees and birds. here is a small piece of the flower on a native grevillea tree. they aren;t a very attractive flower to take photos of so you need to improvise a little to catch peoples attention.
Well well. For some reason I had you pegged as a Queenslander. :)
I'm sorry I had such nasty thoughts about you. :D

Well, this idea has yielded some beautiful shots. I've been waiting for highspeed wireless to view them, there's only dial-up at the house (woe is me!).
I'll try to get a few together. Most of my shots tend to be of further out, but I know there are some good opportunities close to home.

Great pictures everyone.
Here are some pictures of where I live. I live in the village Delfgauw, which is basically attached to the city Delft, where I study.
This picture is my house. I live here with three other students.

Here's a picture of the City Centre of Delft, roughly 10 minutes by bike away from my house. It's an old picture, but I did some new editing with the Raw file recently.

Then very close by, there is a very nice park with some lakes. On this picture you can see the lake and also my bike.

A photo essay. :)
This morning dawned a typical (well it used to be like this before the drought) spring morning.
Before I took various children to various bus stops I took a photo in the back yard.

Here's a shot from spring of this year. This isn't my building, but it's about a 10 minute walk away.
