Hello everyone :) My wife and I saw a SD300 in the store boxing day, and we're very interested. Did some research and we're extremely interested.

We've been primarily taking pictures of our toddler growing up. However our current camera, a Fuji A201 is horrible indoors with built-in flash of a moving child. We end-up throwing out 80% of the pictures because there's too much blurr. I had been using an external flash with a slave with good results, until I lost the slave in a restaurant. The external flash was a real pain to carry around.

The Canon SD300 looks very promising, being a new generation of camera. The ability to set it to ISO 400 looks promising too. Is it fast enough to take pictures of moving children indoors (with flash) without blurr?

I havnt actually taken any photo's of toddlers, however I'm sure this camera would be great for you. Not only is there the ISO 400 setting, but there is also a 'children and animals' mode. I have used this to take a photo at a distance, in which birds were flying, and it came out fine.

Ofcourse, part of the joy of digital is that you can discard any pictures which are no good.
