I'm a newbie. I just got a FZ20 for Christmas and I'm looking for an adapter to install a filter for lens protection. The factory adapter causes shadows when using flash, as has been discussed on here. Anyways, what do you guys think of this adapter: http://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MakeTrack&?MakeTrack&item=3863391032
Thanks in advance...

I'd rather buy an external flash, which is anyway more useful, the provided hood didn't give me any problem, the distance from the lens doesn't seem an issue either, stacking 3 filters + 72->77mm ring didn't cause focusing on their texture (the last one was a cross filter with an evident texture), or flares.

Yes, an external flash is my next purchase. The built-in flash has WAY too much red-eye, even when using the built-in red-eye reduction.

There are quite a lot of posts about those adapters in here. I use the Phayee one which you can easily find at Ebay too and I love it. This one looks good too though, nice price n' stuff...
