View Full Version : RAW, NEF, DNG questions...

Sorry if this is a frequesntly asked question but...

I shot in a RAW format today. Un-knowing to me, that didnt work in PS so...I downloaded the Adobe DNG Converter for the D40.

I converted all the files to NEF and they still wont open in Photoshop CS. What do I need to do to make them work?

If you need more info, let me know.

download the latest version of ACR.

P.S. btw did you install any Nikon software???

ACR = Adobe Camera Raw

No I didnt install any of their software.

And I will go download ACR now

ACR will have it work straight away. i'd also recommend you download nikon ViewNX and nikon transfer which are free. this lets you download from your cam and open automatically in View NX to view all your raw files.
