Shot my second ever wedding yesterday. A good friend asked me if I would bring my camera with me and help compliment the other family friend that was shooting it.

The last wedding I did I was so stressed out. This time I just let the other photog compose and take all the group shots and the like, she seemed to enjoy doing those. I just moved the bride and groom 'round to where I wanted them to snap a shot every now and then.

I shot RAW+. These samples are some slightly touched up jpeg's. I will PP the others during the week as I get time. The outside light was really difficult, very harsh. I really needed a reflector but made do anyhow. Just glad I wasn't being relied upon for all the really important shots.

All shot with my K10D, Sigma 18-125mm and the EF-500 for fill on a couple.

1/45, f4.5, ISO-800.

The groom said that he wanted this shot. Had it all in his mind, said he wanted it in B&W. I prefer the B&W.

I still have work to do on this shot. Remove the flare and hazing at the top, but I think it works. Even better in B&W.

My favorite is the one through the car door window. How do you like the 18-125 lens?

Mine too. I am going to stil it in a frame and give it to them as a wedding present.

Like all kit lenses the quality of each copy varies greatly, but I really like mine. It is sharp everywhere, even wide open. Has some vignetting, as you can see in the 3rd shot, but more often than not it adds effect (for the type of shooting I do).

I am going to retire it, in favour of a Sigma 10-20 and a Sigma 24-70 f2.8, about the end of the year. Given it isn't worth a great deal I am going to keep it and use it as a walk-around lens when I can't take 2 lenses.

Thanks for looking. :)
