Hello, I need some opinions on what i should do. Right now i have a canon S3 IS and i was considering buying a lensmate adaptor and also purchasing a few lenses for it. However i see that amazon has 50% off of there rebel TXi line.

For 700$ would this be a good upgrade from my S3, i am kind of thinking that i would better off spending omney on lenses for my S3 instead? i like to shoot sporting events, wildlife and shots indoors.
thanks for you time:)

50%? Wow!!!
It's a worthwhile upgrade but it's the basic package and you won't be shooting sporting events, wildlife and even much indoors with that lens.
I'm a newbie to DSLR myself but to enjoy the benefit of the Rebel and do what you want to do you will be looking at a couple of extra lens and $700 is just a bait to get you into spending much more. That's the fact of DSLR.
However, if you want to get into the world of DSLR and start collecting a basic system maybe this is a good opportunity; then later on you can add whatever necessary. Otherwise I suggest you spend on the extra accessories for the S3.

Tim, i know exactly what you mean. I searched the site and found a thread that delt with my simular delimma and seems as though i am better off to stick with my S3 and spend some money on few lens. If i dont have the cash to get into a dSLR the right way, i might as well stay with what i have.

The XTi is more expensive than the S3. But it opens the door to a new world of photography. And a world of GREATLY increased IQ.
And I have an XT with kit lens and Tamron 18-200 and an S5. I love the S5, but the XT is so much more camera and so much more capable. It sorta depends on what is most important and how thick your wallet is.
And photography can be a lot like audio. As we say on the Head-Fi site, "Sorry about your wallet".
