I've owned my Sony Cybershot DSC-M1 for 2 1/2 years now. Other than a few random errors that fixed themselves such as faulty color on the LCD, the camera has worked fine. My girlfriend just came back from a trip with my camera and returned it to me with a faulty flash. She doesn't have a clue what happened and claims to have been cautious.
When attempting to take a photo with the flash on, I can hear the familiar multiple flash clicking and occasionally see the slightest effort of the bulb going off. I can see dull light blinking slightly from one end of the flash bulb.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be the problem?
If the flash were dead, I wouldn't see any blinking at all, right?
Could it just be loose?
Is this a repair that can be trusted by an armature?
