I'm currently using:
DPP for processing my Canon RAW images. I love the batch-processing capability.
Zoom Browser for importing the images.
Photoshop Elements 2 for sprucing up the final JPEGs.

Is there any advantage to using any different software?

Is there any advantage to using any different software?No...not form a practical stance if you don't need all the feature/functions of say...a CS3...IMO.

I find personally that the Capture One RAW converter has a certain "x factor" that I have yet to see duplicated by any other RAW converter and as a result didn't mind paying for it. And I hate Zoom Browser...once again, personal preference. It gets does the job done, though...so if that's all you need, why bother with anything else? :)
