Hy folks, (I would apreciate if you`ll excuse my poor enghlish :) )

I know this subject is verry common, but PLEASE help me :
I`m going to buy the SD300 and was wandering why some people says their cameras didn`t make any sounds and athers say. Is the SD300 suposed to make those sounds (at start-up, using zoom, focusing, etc.), or only some cameras are ... lets say, ... defective ?. --- I`m NOT refering at the sounds the camera plays ... . But those scratching sounds others say ... .
I`l buy it from here - Germany (and it will be Ixus40) and maybe you would calm my nightmeares.

PS: I had the A60 for 2-3 months and DID make some noises after moving the lens/at focusing ... .

Thaks for reading my very poor enghish :D

Regards.

I've never heard any scratching noises come from my Ixus 40, only mechanical ones with lens adjustments.

Thanks Verted. Should I buy it without second thoughts ?.

I must admit I like A LOT this camera for all it has and I don`t want those noises to ruin my "dream".

Any other ?.

Thanks again.

I wouldnt spend such money without a second thought, however I wouldnt let a few little noises ruin such a neat little camera for me. It's small, light, fast, and takes some really neat pictures.
