Can anybody assist?

I broke a previously hard and fast rule.
Rather than formatting a card immediately after I downloaded the photos I left images on it then added some. Then I went and individually deleted the fist set of images, well the first set plus one of the new ones.
Does anybody have a link to FREE software that will recover .NEF files from an SD card?
If that can't happen maybe somebody might want to PM me with an off line solution. :)
I'm not against buying software it's just that in 20 years of PC ownership this is the first (and I hope last) time I will need to perform this process and for only one photo.

Thanks it works well and I got the file I wanted back.
In the process of fiddling around I downloaded and tried 6 programs including this one. The results ranged from simply did not work through to so badly crippled that you could not get any realistic indication of whether the program was any good and therefore worth paying for. This was the only program that actually worked as described.
Just for interest I also tried it on a card that had been formatted in camera and was showing 0 images. The program recovered 159 .NEF shots from several sessions (i.e. that had been on the card during at least three formats) complete with all Exif data. Very impressive.
