I'm the happy new owner of a D70. I'm now looking to buy a fixed focal length macro lense for taking pictures of woodturnings. Most of the pictures will be of bowls in the 10" diameter range. Does anyone have any reconmendations?

Thanks!

You may consider a Nikon 60mm F2.8D Micro. Very sharp output!! :)
No better choice at this focal length.

I've been hunting for a good macro lens, and was looking at the 105mm f2.8 Sigma, but the Nikkor might be better. I still use my 990 for super macro (2cm focal distance), but would much prefer to use the D70 for "standard" macro shots.

Could you post a couple of shots?

Thanks.

I second the request for example shots.
