My canon a70 has recently developed a problem with the sensor. Images in the view screen appear as wavy lines. Camera is sporadically working, but seems to be getting worse.
I have heard that this is probably a problem with the sensor. Does anyone know if this is something that you can replace yourself or does it need to go to a repair shop?
Thanks,
Mat

hi!
i'm having the same problem of you!
i can't take any "normal" photos with my camera because they all seems like if they were over contrasted :(
i don't know where the problem came from, but i think it is the sensor!
i have my camera since last december, and from the first day that i note this problem, and in the last weeks its getting worse!
if someone has the same problem and if it is solved already, let me know.
i think i'm going to the canon warantie services.

I had a display problem with my A70 a few months ago. It displayed distorted images and recorded them that way. Canon service fixed it under warranty.
I don't want to worry you, but that's exactly what happened to my Canon PS A70 and after I left it at home for ten days while on a trip to russia, I came back to find out the camera wouldn't switch on again. And since it wasn't under warranty, there was nothing i could do.
I'd get it to Canon repair shop ASAP
