DSC V1 Image problems

I have a Sony DSC V1 Camera - gave me excellent service up to now. Have noticed that if zooming into images it apears runny - See the two images examples - Any one having a similar problem - Any suggestions as to what can be done , `is it worthwile ?

Thanks for the info -Have taken it in to Sony yesterday and was informed that they will replace the CCD - free of charge - So me buying the DSC-S800 a wile back seems now such a waiste - but so you learn
