Hey folks. This may not be the best forum to post this in but I figure it was the best way to reach the most people.

I thought it might be interesting to know what everyone's favorite (besides yourself) and least favorite (or most disliked) photographer is. If you have more than one, don't be shy to list them.

For favorite, I have a three way tie between Gordon Parks, Weegee and W. Eugene Smith. For least favorite, it would be none other than Nan Goldin.

I'm not sure about least favorite... Rockwell comes to mind but he's not professional. My favorite would have to be Steve McCurry. Love his work.

I really like the work of Arnold Newman. I don't really know enough to say who my least favorite is though. I really don't like the paparazzi style stuff, so I'd say anyone who shoots like that, I don't like.

I love the way Newman uses normal to wide angle lenses. His subjects look so natural and in their place. It's hard to use a wider lens when shooting people and he did it so well.

Lots of good photographers.
Here is one I like (at least, I recalled his name.)

Nick - Yup, Arnold Newman has some really great stuff. I look at his stuff quite often. My favorites are his Picasso portrait and the famous one of Igor Stravinsky sitting at the grand piano.

ObiJuan - You know, I just don't get her. I can't imagine why people pay thousands of dollars for her prints. I heard her say in an interview that it doesn't matter that her house is worth a few million dollars and her furniture is all custom made because she is still 'bohemian at heart'. I guess there has to be something out there for every buyer, right?
