Hi all,

I am currently looking to buy a dSLR camera. I have a Minolta Dynax 5 SLR, and I wonder if I buy a Minolta dSLR, will I be able to use the lenses on both cameras?

As I am a beginner I am not looking for the most expensive or professional cameras but I am not happy with the speed of compact digital cameras. That's why I am thinking of dSLR.

Does anyone have a recommendation as to what camera will be best for me? Where I live it is not easy to find Minolta cameras, everyone seem to be into Nikon or Canon. (Which I don't mind, it just that it would be practical if I could use my old lenses on the new dSLR)
I am travelling to Asia next spring and intend to pick one up there.

I'd greatly appreciate your opinions.
