I have a Sony Cybershot P31. It fell in the river, but I recoved it, let it dray for a week and turned it on.
I tested all the function it all works, even the LCD screen. BUT...
The most important button the one that takes the pictures it inoperable.
I opened the camera to look where the button makes a connection, but access is limited, to getting there.
I checked everywhere everyone wants $150, the camera is not worth that much.

Assistance is appricated.

oomega,
I think you answered your own question: if you spend the $150, and then the button works, but the photos are no good, due to the fact the CCD is messed up, then where will you be?I don't think you should completely trust that they show up on the LCD as a test the CCD is working fully.

Deals to be had get you current equivalent models (I think) for approx. $250.

Happy shoping!
