Here I was all set to buy the Sony DSC-150 when I noticed the DSC-120. Where did that come from? I can't find any information about it online (reviews here or at Steve's Digicam's, etc..) and I don't even remember it being for sale last week. Has it just been released??
I liked the DSC-150, my only complaint was that 7.2 megapixals seemed a little silly for an ultra-compact point and shoot camera. Likely, the extra pixels don't do any good at all. But the DSC-100 (5 megapixel older sibling) seemed to suffer from a serious lack of dynamic range, or so I read, which was apparently cleaned up on the DSC-150.
Thus, I guess I'm wondering if the DSC-120 is just a 5 megapixel version of the DSC-150? Why is sony selling a 5 megapixel camera for the same price as an identical 7.2 megapixel camera? Why is the DSC-120 $100 more expensive than the DSC-100. What are the differences. Anybody know??
