I know this is a digital camera forum but had a question about film cameras.
Has anyone ever used a pinhole camera?
like this: http://www.pinholecamera.com/
or even http://www.paintcancamera.com/
I have to use 4x5 view camera or at least 4x5 size film for my black and white class. Wanted to try something new.

Yes. I've used them. A friend and I made a few for fun using old biscuit tins etc.
The easiest way now - if you have a dSLR is to drill a small hole in a spare bodycap.

Lol. I saw a Canon 11MP 1Ds made into a pinhole camera.
That was fun.

While browsing, I saw this interesting question.
I suppose that the pinhole will have to be in the absolute dead centre of the body cap.
If it were not in the absolute dead centre, what would the image look like?

dead center has no effect other than moving the image over...hole should be through something thin like foil though..so light doesn't bounce off the sides of the hole
