Is the Canon 1.4x tele-extender a good match for my Canon L 70-200/2.8 IS?

The shops around my corner also sell extenders by Kenko. But I dont know how good these are.

Feedback appreciated.

I don’t have the 1.4x but I hear it’s a better match for the 70-200 then my 2x. compromise is always a bitch!

I will probably end up with the 1.4x sooner or later

Both the kenko 1.5x DC and the 1.4x pro are god 1.4x TC's and optically they perform about the same as the Canon 1.4 extender.

The differences are small, sometimes in favor of the Canon, sometimes in favor of the Kenko.

The Canon EF 1.4x II works well with that lens. :)

I purchased mine from that ebay store. The ship promptly, are reputable, and keep the shipping costs down by falsely filling out the customs paperwork (I was surprised to see it labeled as a Gift).

This works well on the 70-200 although having a 100-400 I never seem to use it.

I never noticed a difference between the kenko, tamron, or canon 1.4x's.
I used all three interchangeably when I worked for a newspaper.

And the more expensive Canons are compatible with fewer lenses.
