A few years ago, Fuji came out with a VGA camera that had an internal battery, was recharged via usb and which had internal memory. What was the model number? I might get one from ebay as it sounds a good one to keep in my car.

Just get yourself a 2/3mp camera phone. This way you're always carrying a camera with you and are ready for anything.

I've got a Sony W810i, 2mp Auto Focus... pretty decent quality for a phone cam...

I was attracted to the Fuji as it was credit-card sized and recharged from the same USB cable that one transferred data across. I have a USB charging cable for my TomTom already.

Having said that, might opt for one of those key-chain cameras. I do have a VGA camera that my stepson had but lost interest in. He had two - on one the driver CD vanished and as the camera had no identifying marks to help find a driver we pitched that one. This one won't work from a battery so I use it solely as a webcam. I might thus opt for a cheapie keychain camera. I don't want to leave anything worthwhile in a car that gets pretty darned hot in summer.
