Budget

* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera?

--$200-400; cheaper the better without sacrificing quality!

Size

* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?

--Compact so the camera can fit into my pockets.

Features

How many megapixels will suffice for you?

--atleast 5M.

* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify)

--More zoom the better!

* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)

--10

Do you care for manual controls?

--Yes, even though I am a novice, I still like to have manual controls to learn on.

General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for?

--Travel use, Party, Scenery, Portraits w/ Scenery, and Bars

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?

--Nope, just standard.

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?

--Both Indoor and low light.

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?

--Not so often, but having that option will be nice.

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate?

--I personally loved using my Casio Exilim EX-Z750; however, it was stolen from me.

Are there particular models you already have in mind?

--If possible, I would like a camera similar to the Casio Exilim Ex-Z750 without it's flaws!

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD)

--Image stabilization would be nice since I do not have steady hands, but it's not needed. Great battery life is a must! I prefer having an LCD screen atleast 2.5". View Finder would be nice, but not needed.

Canon A720 or SX100 for zoom, or Fuji F50 for low light.
