Hi,
i am looking to upgrade my Panasonic FZ30 to an Oly E510. Recently (due to a lost charger) i had to revert to my original Oly UZ700 (2.1Mp etc) and was horrified to see the difference in image quality between my FZ30 and the UZ700 (UZ being awful). Am I likely to see a similar difference in image quality between the FZ30 and a budget DSLR such as the Oly E510. Obviously there are a few more pixels, but how much more dynamic range does the Oly SMOS give.
Second, does anyone have any experience of 2X teleconverters on DSLRs, are they an acceptable compromise?
Third, does anyone know for sure whether the Oly E510 can take RAW exposure brackets? The FZ30 cannot, and it drives me up the wall.
