You are going to have some fun with that, Gaza. It's a great piece of glass.

More women should do that - forget all the fancy cards and chocolates, just buy us some decent glass. :p Congratulations are in order I guess. And I agree with Gintaras, we want some pictures when you get it. ;)

Did you see that article in last Sunday's paper re "Father's Day Gifts" ?

Seems that < 5% of men want the "traditional" socks, undies etc....but > 90% of men expect to get these very things for Father's Day :(

Top of the list for wanted gifts was a DSLR Camera .

Personally, I think that's just expecting a little too much. :p

A Canon 10-22mm Lens....that's not too much is it ;) :D

LMAO, you are one lucky guy Gaztro. I dropped in a convo that you were getting that lens for fathers day.

Now if my girl has definately refined the art of calling a spade a spade.

So the response to me saying you were getting a lens

"A lens? No fathers get a painted rock for fathers day!"

Conversation officially closed:o

Guess Ill just have to drop my Xmas bonus on that little sucker:p

Enjoy and post up some pics!

I know exactly what you are saying Forno....the Sunpak 383 Auto "miraculoulsy" turned into a Canon 430EX last week. Tested the waters last week in front of the children...went unnoticed.

Haven't done the real test as yet.

Rooz: That's the best sock photo I ever seen. I think it belongs in an art gallery; what do you think?

Gaza: hmmm....... I have second thought about the F30.... she might be giving you a hint she expects something really expensive for xmas.

EDIT: When I said 'really expensive' I meant really really expensive that you can't afford.:eek:

Gaza, come on, wish I would get THIS LENS even with a wrong hood for a present … I can always buy the correct hood like that and keep the wrong one for future when buying a correct lens for it…;)

Look, can we cut a deal? IF you happen not to like your lens because of the hood JUST send it to ME!!!:p

Who cares for the hood WHEN such a lens knocks on your door!!! We all expect PICS from you, especially from your Cook Islands travel.:D

You are quite correct of course :o

Here I was thinking I should exchange it for the correct one, when you correctly point out that the Wife should be made to suffer for her lack of attention to detail.

What was I thinking

I will buy the correct Hood....and tell her that she must now buy a Lens that fits that "other" Hood. :D

Spoke to the supplier yesterday. They advised they would post out the correct hood and include a return postage bag for the incorrect hood to be returned. This is unusual in my experience as most companies insist on receiving the "faulty" part first before they will supply a replacement. So full credit to them for this action :)

Correct Hood arrived this morning (with the return postage bag) and all is sweet.

Therefore, anyone in Aus looking for a good supplier I would recommend D-D-Photographics in Nth Sydney :D

Have now made 2 purchases from them, and saved some good $$$ in the process.
