Are there particular brands you like or hate?
no. I used to have a Canon A560 which became damaged. I never really liked the camera and found it to be very very slow. I want a camera where I can many pictures in a row quickly and not take so long to "recover" after each shot.
Are there particular models you already have in mind?
canon SD850 pr Sony W series
(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD)
a rotating LCD would be nice but not necessary
