I think I have settled on the Panasonic FZ20 camera, but cannot find it in any brick and mortar store. The online prices range from $455 to $599 - $599 being the 'name' stores such as Circuit City, Ritz Photo, Office Depot, etc. I'd love to save the $100+ and spend it on a memory card...but am very fearful of buying online from an unknown store. Does anyone have any good or bad stories to share with these online stores?

Crutchfield.com is one of the best you will find. They are professional in manner, and will take something back without problem (they even pay for return shipping!). You do pay for this safety however, as they sell at list price.

Circuit City is also great because you can order online and elect to pick up at a local store if you have one. They are also easy to deal with if you need to return the camera. Keep an eye on their sales.

I've heard that newwegg.com, and buydig. com and Vann's.com are also quite good, but I've not personally used them.

p.s. shouldn't this be under the "Where Should I Buy My Camera?" section?

Check this site for feedback on online vendors:

FWIW, I've used newegg.com and been very pleased.

I've shopped the following online mail order houses and found them to be honest and reliable: B&H Photo, Newegg, Amazon, Dell, Computers 4 Sure, and Buycom. Other consumers may have had other experiences so as a previous poster stated it's always best to check them out on Resellerratings.com. It's not likely you'll find any killer prices at the above mail order houses but prices may vary somewhat so it's wise to check all decent places.
