I was out this weekend trying to use mainly one lens....I used my 60mm macro for portraits, sports (horseback riding and water skiing), landscapes and I even got in a couple of macros!! ;)
It's a damn versatile lens.
Here's my niece with her favorite "pet"....
Converted from RAW, no PP.

Nice framing of your freckled niece and favorite calf. Looks sharp!
Do you have any examples of a sure enough macro from that lens? I am thinking about getting a macro lens and am just checking out what is out there and available. Your post is a good sell for the 60mm Canon:)

Beautiful, Michael! Worthy of printing and framing. It's cool that you're able to use your 60mm for more than just its intended purpose.

Ahh very cute shot. I'm a vegetarian, by the way, so I love that she loves cows. :D

Thanks Nick. I'll tell you what, since I like you so much, how about an even trade for the 35L? :D

Very nice photos Michael. It's hard to tell from one pic, but your niece looks very photogenic - so much so people might pay to use her in their ads. Do you have any more shots of her?
I'm also with Drew on the vegitarian thing - and Rock-land rocks! :D

Thanks Peter. She is very photogenic, but I don't think ads would be her thing. Although, perhaps I should suggest it - maybe I could be her agent! ;)
