Has anyone sold a 16x20 portrait print... If so would you mind telling me what it was sold for I'm trying a baseline for fair pricing. And if you do not mind please share the logic behind your pricing. So far I've just found pricing all over the place on the net. thanks in advance.:)

Portrait of what, selling to what demographic?

A portrait of a person selling to that individual.

If it was just one picture, as in you didn't set up an entire studio and spend an hour shooting, I would say $50 ish range.

A friend of mine gets $195 for a mounted 16x20 up to $290 for a canvas print.

It's all in the presentation.

If you are presenting yourself as a professional photographer, then charge $159 or more (at least 3X cost.). If you present yourself as a casual/hobbyist photographer, then perhaps $50 would be the minimum.

Yeah, it really depends on who this person is and what your relationship with them is. If we're talking they hired you specifically as a photographer, or it's a corporate thing, you'd obviously charge more than you would your co-worker or friend who just wanted to get a quick portrait done. A 16x20 is only $15 to actually print, so the rest of it is how much you think the person should be paying for the time and skill put in to actually take the picture.
