Hello,
I have an odd question. I'm looking for a DMC-LX2 in the Washington DC area. I'm not, however, looking to buy it. I've been looking at this camera and it's sister, the Leica D-Lux 3 and it appeared that mostly these cameras were identical. But following some leads, I researched and confirmed (to myself at least) that the video from these, despite being listed with the same specs, were different. I know many people don't care about video, but I am curious about this. I was able to find a store locally that carries the D-Lux 3 and took some video with my own SD card and compared it to video I found on the internet from the LX2. Subsequently I had an LX2 owner send me video they too themselves for further confirmation. But I really would love to be able to take video with both these cameras side by side using the same mode and shooting the same thing to really compare apples to apples. So my thought was to find a store in the DC area that carries the LX2 and might let me shoot some video with it, if even just in the store. If such a store doesn't exist, then perhpas someone here with the LX2 lives in the area and might consider joining me some weekend afternoon for a quick shoot to test these two side by side?
