View Full Version : Burn from my camera straight to my DVD Burner

Hello Everyone,
i have a question that hopefully someone can help me with i got a dvd burner a while ago and i am trying to figure out if i can record from my digital camera straight to the burner. i am transfering files from the camera to the comptuer and then to the burner and the quality is decreesing DRAMATICALLY from one media to the next.....it has all of the right outputs and inputs but i can't seem to figure out how to do it...... its a Sony drx-710UL/t and the camer is a a sony mvc-cd400. if anyone has any suggestinos or knows if it is actually possible or not that would be wonderful!!!

Something doesn't add up. You shouldn't see any difference between the image files stored on your camera's storage media and the finished DVD. Are you copying the files from your card directly to your hard drive prior to burning? What software are you using to burn your files? Are you burning at the maximum possible burn speed or a lower setting?

You may need to try and change one element of your workflow at a time until you can better isolate what is causing the problem. I would start by copying all of the files to my HD, then burning at the slowest DVD setting. See if that makes a difference.
