If you are in Canada and near a Black's Camera then they have printers with rolls of paper 43 inches wide and as long as you can imagine. I was just asking yesterday and a panorama shot 43 inches wide and approximately 12 inches high would cost $30 so take it from there.

You could check out AmericanFrame.com . I think a 12"x43" print would start at $52.55. A big plus is that for $15, they will send you a set of 4 4x6" color proofs, so you can choose the color version you prefer.

They also make custom frames. I looked at a basic wood frame in Walnut, 12"x43" was $31, plus $25 shipping. They will do mats, liners, the works :)

My understanding is it would be good to go at 12" X 40". But I can't find anyone that can do it. Found someone to do it 8" X 30" $55.00 Seems high

The formula to figure how much your panorama will cost you is the take the square inch area then work it out to the closest "normal" picture size and thats your cost. For example if your panorama works out to 430 square inches then check the cost of an 18x24 inch print and thats the cost of your panorama. When your panorama reaches a certain size (somewhere around 800 square inches and up) then the cost is 6 cents an inch with the width being 43 inches. This is from Black's Cameras in Canada. And they never give anything away for nothing. By the way your 12 x 40 inch size would cost you $30.

I put the picture on my 2 gig crazier and went to Ferrari Color. They checked out the picture and said It would be perfectly clear being printed at 2'9" X 12'. I only want an 12" X 40" That's real good news. The problem is the counter / walk in has a minimum $250.00 charge

Oh heck, make a few wallet sized ones as well. That should bring you up to the limit. ;)

Did you try something like Kinkos, OfficeMax, or Staples?

Not yet everyone I talked to said they couldn't do a 12"X 40"

Rollie have you thought of trying a pre-press graphics house? They would have printers capable of printing wide format. Perhaps if you approached someone there they might make a "proof" of your picture for a nominal price. As a freelancer Graphic Artist I have worked for many houses which had printers whose paper came in rolls up to 48" wide. If you know anyone who works for such a place you might even get it done for free.
