can you use both a hood and a filter simultaneously... i was reading on BH and it seems to use a hood you have to have an adapter which screws on where you would screw on the filter...

just looked at my broken 50mm and there is NO place to attach a standard hood.

this one is cheap and screws on:

Looks like you can still screw on filters with this hood and adapter. You can see the threads in the large view of the picture:
