My old Fuji's memory card showed as a drive in my Macintosh's Finder. My Canon A610's card does not.
When the card showed as a drive, I could drag files onto the card and use the camera as a portable drive.
Canon's FAQ mention an application which allowed this in OS9, but not in OSX. Is there a way around this to allow me to drag files onto the camera's card without using a card reader?
When disconnecting portable drives from a Mac, you normally have to eject the drive in the finder before disconnecting it. I had to do that with the Fuji, but since the Canon does not appear in the finder, I have just turned off the camera before disconnecting it. Neither the camera nor the computer seem to care.
