Hi All,

THis is my first post to this forum. I have a canon A540 camera which I bought from US (currently I am in canada). I have had no problems with this camera since I bought it (10 months ago).

Last week when I was taking snaps this camera fell off. THere wasnot any damage to the camera. I took around 20 snaps after the incident. But after taking few more snaps, suddenly the "Click" button has stopped working now.

THe button has become free. What I mean is everthing works fine with the camera, just the "click" button does not work. So I am not able to take pictures.

I would appreciate any help or guidance in this regard.

By the "Click" button, do you mean the shutter release? That's the button on the top of the camera that you use to take the picture.

If so, I think you need to bring it to where you bought it (sounds hard to do from Canada) or contact Canon to see if they'll treat this as a warranty repair.

Yes it is the shutter release button.
