hello, i am new at this forum i just bought a PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph yesterday. tonight i took it to a concert and it worked great. however, i am not able to find the continuous shooting mode. when i am in camera, i press the down button and my options are- single shot, 10 sec timer, 2 sec timer and custom timer. does the camera have to be in a certain mode or do i need to upload something to it? or is it just malfunctioned? is this a common problem?

I think you need to be in M (or P) mode to use the continuous shooting option. In Auto you don't get the option in the menus.

Do you see the button on the 4 way controller that has the self timer icon and what appears to be boxes stacked on top of each other?
It's at the bottom of the circle.
Press that till you see the stacked boxes icon show up on your screen. That is the continuous picture mode.

I'm home now with my SD300. In Auto you don't have burst mode. It appears in all the other modes. Just put it in M and leave everything else as is.
