the first and fourth are my favorite, but i like all of them. are they good?, or are my standards for a good picture low? lol

Nice clean shots smartguy. Any chance you can close your aperature down to the smallest size and change your ISO and try to increase your depth of field? I did a similar affair while I had to shoot 100 thimbles last week. I just used a curved piece of 8.5 x 11 inch paper and a portable fluorescent lamp. I wasnt concerned with much depth of field but I will try it out and see how much the S700 will give me.

smartguy26, they are all good.
I think the light falling on the objects should be avoided. I know its very difficult. I have some shot taken yesterday where I faced similar problem. Will post them soon.
