HI all

Im new to DSLR, coming from a fuji s6500. i am used to the 28 - 300 range of the fuji and would like some guidance on obtaining this focal length with the K100d.

questions:

1. what lense is best ranging from 50+ to 300mm. i have looked at the sigma 50 - 200 on amazon for £103.

2. please give your lense opinion and price as my budget is around £100ish.

3. K100 menu settings, what do you have and why i.e sharpness etc.

4. Any tips for this camera will be good.

Regards

Paul

Hi:

You probably did not get any replies because of the fairly cheap price of the lenses you quote.

The Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO Macro is a decent but not great telephoto for about $220.

I assume you have the 18-55 kit lens. The gap between that and the 70-300 is not enough to worry about.
