Hi All
Is there a reason this camera is not more discussed or recommended?
Thanks

It's a good camera with one major caveat, that being you MUST exposure absolutely correct and not use iso 800/1600 in heavy shadow areas due to "vertical pattern noise" which is bars mostly due to blue channel in the shadows.
Otherwise its an amazing camera, if it didn't have VPN I'd say it was near flawless but VPN is a huge issue.

That’s a pretty savage and incorrect response. I own a K10D and have racked up over 5000 photos on it in the last 3 months. I’ve shot everything from low light high ISO to fast action to stills and long exposure night shots.
You don’t HAVE to have the exposure exactly spot on unless you’re using ISO 1600. I’ve shot at ISO800 and stuffed up exposure and the image has recovered. And at all other ISO's the results are excellant, and on par with much more expensive bodies.
Yes, you do need watch your exposure on ISO1600 and yes photos can be subject to VPN but if you are aware of the problem you can take measures to work around it.
Every consumer-grade camera has an achilles heel, but believe me there are a lot of features which will take the sting out of this widely exaggerated problem.
