My Canon G3 is giving me "CF Card Error" on all 4 of my Compact Flash cards.
So, I am considering buying a new camera.
I use the flip out & twist LCD screen a lot for low-angle shots.

The Panasonic FZ50 has a screen which hinges down and swivels, so you can see it from the front below the camera, rather than to the side like the Canons. Don't know if that might suit you.

True, but it accomplishes essentially the same thing. Flipping out to the side isn't really critical to the task of being able to use the camera overhead and below eye level.

It is, when the H9 screen doesn't really tilt that much.

I played with it in the store a month ago...and its nothing compared to the S3/S5.

The whole feature seemed like an afterthought, one that not much "thought" really went into.

Not at all when you're taking portrait oriented (vertical) shots.
