Im going on vacation leaving Monday July 9, and have hardly any time left for research, your help is greatly appreciated. I have been looking at so many dont know what to do. Ive looked at the Panasonic DMC - L27S, the Cannon Powershot A570 IS, the Cannon A710 IS, the Cannon A560, the Fugi S700 BK, the Olympus SP-510.
Anyways, here is the questionnaire, your responses are greatly appreciated.
Which camera should I buy?
Budget
* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Please be as specific as possible.
--No more than $250 but was hoping to stay under $200
Size
* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you?
--Compact is nice and convenient, but I am more concerned about features and quality.
Features
How many megapixels will suffice for you?
--Was hoping for 7 megapixels or more.
* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify)
--I would like 4x or more, my old camera only had 2x and I was always wanting more, so the more zoom the better for me.
* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10)
--Image quality is probably the most important to me, I say 10.
Do you care for manual controls?
--Yes would be nice to have, however I am an amateur so auto is what I will mostly use anyways.
General Usage
* What will you generally use the camera for?
--Mainly vacation pics and kids pics. Mostly scenery for vacation pics.
* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not?
--8 x 10 would be the largest Id probably print, but yes it would be nice to be able to do so without losing too much quality.
Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos?
--Yes I will shoot a lot of indoor photos and low light photos, very important to me to get a good quality pic from low light situations.
Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos?
--Sometimes maybe but not a lot.
Miscellaneous
Are there particular brands you like or hate?
--Hate Kodak, no luck with them.
Are there particular models you already have in mind?

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD)
--Well image stablization is almost a must for me. Wide angle would also be great, I dont know much about the others mentioned.
