Jeff said he didn't see the point of this mode, and I didn't either until just now. But there's a setting in the menu that lets you control what the front wheel does, while the back wheel does ISO setting. Making the front wheel shutter speed means a pretty nifty combination. Basically, it's much easier to control the tradeoff between higher ISO and missing shots altogether. I find that I very frequently have a bad choice of ISO: too high when using flash, too low when trying to use a slow shutter speed etc. And the aperture is controlled automatically.
In this mode, you can easily flick the ISO up for a quick shot, or bring it down for something more polished. And using the front wheel and the exposure compensation button you get good control over the other two variables, too. I think I like this :)
