Which model is best for long travelling?

Hi,

Recently, i'm looking for a camera that is more convenient for traveling.

Maybe here are the features that i would like to have:

- Power shot
- Wider LCD size
- Greater LCD resolution
- Optical zoom
- Water - resistance


Above or, i would also hope that it is not that expensive to be within my budget of about $300^.

- Optical zoomNearly all cameras have optical zoom, how much do you want.
- Water - resistance

Other things you should look for are AA batteries, so you can use alkalines in a pinch on the road.

Take a look at the Canon A710 or A570. Neither are water resistant, but I haven't found that to be critical for travel use.
