is the cannon xti worth an extra 200 over the xt

I am trying to deside between the canon xt and the xti but im not sure if the xti is worth an extra 200
also to note I get free annual cleaning for 5 year with the xt

Dusty sensors haven't been a problem with my XT. I just take the lens off, open the mirror and blow hard. No problems so far.

Personally, I can't see any advantage of the XTi over the XT. The extra 2mp is negligable and you do lose the handy top LCD display going from the XT to XTi. I get problems with the XT and non-Canon glass but then I use mostly Canon glass now as per my original plan.

Cleaning the sensor is something you have to learn yourself anyway.
I do think the XTi is worth it over the XT, for one improvement: the XTi has the 9 point AF from the EOS 30D and 5D, which is more accurate.

And that can be a big thing, especially with some 3rd party lenses, but also with canon lenses.

So... if finances allow it, do get the XTi.
