I'm having a very tough time deciding which to get, and i need to know by tomorrow.

I will be wanting my (first) digital camera for taking pictures of wildlife, landscapes, people, and skateboarding. I will hardly be printing pictures, and when i do only 4x6 prints. I will want to shoot videos of skating and stuff, and the Canon's quality looks very good (saw examples on websites) compared to the Kodak CX7330. The Kodak's video quality is very pixelated from what i saw. If any of u have seen its quality, it it really as bad as http://www.digicamreview.co.uk/kodak_easyshare_cx7330_review.htm bottom of page ?

The canon is $50 more and they are both 3 mega pixel cams....any comments?

P.S. do the PNY cards fail? i heard they do, but they are usually cheaper.

that's it, $50? go for the canon. if you were talking about a kodak DX series vs an A-series canon then there might be more to talk about, but CX? no competition. I have heard that PNY fails A LOT and that they don't honor their warranties so don't get it. not worth the $5-$10 you save in my opinion. if it fails, then that's money down the toilet.

I guess you're right
But the Kodak EasyShare DX7440 is a whopping $300, so i should get the canon. I was thinking about the CX7430 but u said the CX series reeks...

The thing that turns me off about the canon is the FOUR batteries (ill porbably get recarchables anyway) and the compact flash - my laptop has a SD slot and SD is a lot cheaper.

Notes:

- CF is actually cheaper than SD. I just picked up a 256MB CF 2 weeks ago for $9.99 after $20 rebate.

- AA batteries are easier to find in a pinch. Use 2100 - 2300mAh NiMH rechargables. I recommend the MAHA C204W charger, and any NiMH batteries from Thomas Distributing. Buy them here:

- A USB2.0HS card reader is less than $10 at Frys (or on-line).

Bon Foto.

You don't have a Wal-Mart nearby?

i've heard that the A75 is "out of production" or discontinued which sounded weird at first but this camera did come out Feb. this year right? that's only two months away. same story with the S1 IS. I'm sure you can find tons of those cams online at a lower price than retail stores and no tax if shipped out of state (and that store doesn't have a place of operation in your state). you can try some non-electronics stores like target or wal-mart although i don't remember seeing the A75 at the local wal-mart.

compact flash cards ARE CHEAPER than SD cards, unless SD's are on sale and the CF's aren't.

WELL! I got the Canon A75, they had ONE left at wal-mart, and it was $10 off. Very awesome cam.
